Camping in Mexico :)

During the summer of 2016, my family and I were staying with my aunt in Guadalajara. She came up with an idea to go camping in one of the cabins she has rented in the mountains about 3 hours north of Guadalajara. My mom thought it was a great idea, so we all packed am done headed out the next day.

Lets go back to when I was about 15 years old.

Unfortunately when we got to the camp site, we realized that my aunt didn’t actually make reservations with any of the cabins and it was a busy weekend so as you would expect the campsite was completely booked. So we had to go on a 3 hour search trip just to find an open cabin.

However, it wasn’t all bad because we got to stop by this beautiful lake town and had lunch. After lunch we walked down the peir area and got to see a bunch of cool street shows and had some snacks from the street venders. There was also some cool parks around there with nothing i’ve ever seen before, so obviously me and my sister had to try them out. It was a little scary but it was a blast. It was time to go back on the search for an open cabin.

After looking through almost all the campsites, we thought we had finally found one that was perfect for the 14 of us. Everything seemed nice, the rooms, the view, the garden, the kitchen. However, there was one huge problem, insects were crawling around on the floor and the women in the family were not okay with that at all. So the search continued….

Finally, after a long search, we finally found a cabin that was perfect for all of us. Well, we actually found 2 cabins, and we decided to rent out both, one for the kids and one for the adults. Plus they were right next to each other and was basically the ideal setup. Now that we were settled, we set up the barbaque and ate mexican food all day and played in the woods. It was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to do it again. Anyways, have you guys ever been camping in another country, let me know in the comments below and while you’re at it, be sure to follow me so you can keep up with my blog post every week. Thanks!
